ELMA, IA

SAC CITY, IA

Located in Howard county with a population of 545 residents, Elma is “A great place to visit, a better place to live”. Elma, founded in 1886, has a health clinic, daycare center, and nursing home. During the weekend of the second saturday in July, the Elma Trail Days are a great event to explore.  https://www.elmaia.com/  
The county seat of Sac County, Sac City is home to 2,000 residents. This town has many parks and recreational opportunities, including an aquatic center. Founded in 1855, it’s motto is “Where spirit grows and opportunity flows.” This town also boasts a hospital, daycare, and an elementary school. https://saccity.city/

BANCROFT, IA

CORNING, IA

Fondly referred to as “The Garden Spot of Iowa”, this town of 730 residents sits in the northern half of Kossuth county. Bancroft was founded in 1881. The town is proud of its many local businesses, health clinic, and daycare center. Their Fourth of July celebrations are extensive, making this town a great place to visit for the holiday.

With a population of 1,630, this town is the county seat of Adams county and was founded in the 1860s. It boasts an aquatic center, parks and recreation activities, and a lake. It’s motto is “Corning- A Class Act”. Corning is a part of the Main Street Iowa program, and is working hard to make their historic main street a vibrant tourist attraction.

MT. AYR, IA

EVERLY, IA

Mount Ayr is the county seat of Ringgold county and has a population of 1,690. It was founded in 1875 and still maintains historic buildings and cobblestone streets in the downtown area. Mount Ayr also has an elementary school, jail, and hospital. Ayr Days is a yearly event celebrating the citizens of Mount Ayr. http://www.mountayriowa.org 
Founded in 1884, this town of 600 residents is in Clay county. Their motto is “Proud of our past, faith in our future”. Everly is proud of a local museum, community center, parks, and a local high school. Everly is having a community day and fire department celebration on July 31, 2021.   https://www.everlyiowa.com/
